Psychotherapy

I practice psychoanalytic psychotherapy, which means that I work with clients to gain greater understanding of how conscious and unconscious processes play out in their relational, intellectual and emotional life. The process of psychotherapy can help you to have greater understanding of yourself and control of your life.

I feel that my advanced training as a psychoanalyst has helped me to assess and determine the most effective treatment to achieve your treatment goals. My training and experience is extensive and broad enough that I can help you with most problems that might concern you. In the event that your problem is outside of my area of expertise, I can help you find an appropriate resource.

My goal is to provide a therapeutic relationship that allows you to feel protected and safe. I try to try to do this by providing an atmosphere and relationship characterized by honesty, neutrality, empathy, collaboration, and clarity.
