Lynn Buell
Welcome...

I appreciate you taking the time to visit. I am a psychotherapist and psychoanalyist who is dedicated, committed, and passionate about my work. I have a deep belief and faith that people can grow and develop as human beings.

Sometimes, due to life's traumas, we are knocked off track in our development and need help getting back on track so that our development can begin again. Occasionally our natural creativity is lost because of difficulties growing up, but it can be reignited, put back on track, and brought into full fruition through our work together. I am profoundly moved and humbled when I can be apart of this process.

At other times, we encounter increased stresses and losses in our life, which seem to jar our lives' natural path in ways that make it difficult for us to cope. At such times, having someone who can hear us at a deep level and help us to develop tools to manage our feelings and to protect our inner and outer boundaries is needed.

In addition to gaining a greater sense of control over oneself and onešs life, being able to set outer boundaries or limits can help to reduce our level of stress. When we are equipped with more sophisticated coping mechanisms, we are better able to handle what life throws at us.

At other times, we are on a path of growth and development; we feel that we are "blossoming". However, preferring the comfort of familiar, past patterns, we often sabotage our own progress. The new achievements and patterns, though more effective and efficient, may feel alien and less comfortable than the old ways. Therefore, we may need help with managing and sustaining our successes. Psychotherapy is helpful not just with problems, but with success as well.
